about 1923 age 32	Thomas was born in White Russia, which is now Belarus.  See his Army Draft Certificate.  This document indicates he was from the village of Kabany, Pruzahn Subregion, Grodny Region.  He emmigrated to North America with his older brother, George (changed his surname to Almore), sometime prior to 1917. The family moved from Canada to Niagara Falls, NY in about 1923.  They lived at 1624 Maple Ave.  Thomas worked for USL Battery Corporation in Niagara Falls.

Letter received the month he died from his nephew E. Kurilovich in Paraguay. I have heard from decendants of Emiljan Kurilovich who saw this webpage - what a joy!
